’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that Sumit Singh is still stringing along fiance Jenny Slatten. She said last week that each and every time they try and get married, something happens. This time, Sumit is blaming it on the pandemic, which, in a way is valid but in a way is totally not.
Sumit had ample time before the 2020 pandemic hit to stand up to his parents after they met with the lawyer to confirm whether or not Sumit’s parents could actually legally do something to prevent him and Jenny from getting married – as it turns out, they can’t.

We’ve known this for over a year. Sumit is over the age of 18 and is of sound, legal mind, not even in an uber patriarchal society like India can they come at him and do anything about him getting married, not even if Jenny was 102.
But still he refuses to marry Jenny because he can’t get their approval. Now, Jenny’s latest application for a Visa has come back “closed’ instead of “approved” which means that she will either have to come back to the United States or they will have to find a country whose border is open to lodge in while Jenny renews her Visa.
Howevre, the one country they were relying on to be open, Nepal, is now closed because of the pandemic and Sumit can’t even go with her because his ex Father-in-Law took his passport.
How does that even happen?! How do you even let someone have that form of ID from you? And furthermore, what would Sumit’s ex father-in-law need with his passport? It’s not like he can use it because it’s not his ID.
Is it one of those odd parental control things where he’s going to take Sumit’s passport away until he magically decides to undivorce his daughter and give him an heir? I can’t assume to know the motivation there but honestly that almost sounds like it would make sense.
Sumit expects Jenny to act like a ‘calm, rational person’ but how long is she supposed to act like that? I don’t blame Jenny for snapping and screaming at him, nor would I blame her for coming back to the US and never looking back. Sumit never wanted to get married, he just wanted someone to string along. At this point he gets what he deserves and the fandom seems to agree. Stay tuned!!!
