’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers indicate that we were bracing ourselves for the fall-out that would happen once Sumit Singh admitted to his parents Anel and Sadhna Singh that he had gone off without their express approval and married fiance Jenny Slatten… but it never came, because Sumit is just that big of a coward.
Even though he stated in the beginning that they were there to tell his parents that they were married, he ended up chickening out at the end, and Jenny didn’t say anything either.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Sumit Singh And The Incredibly Anti-Climactic Tell-All – What Was That All About?
The only thing Jenny did say is that Sadhna who had previously agreed to get out of the way upon the advice of the astrologer after a few months kept calling Sumit back and telling him to send Jenny back and come back and live with his family.
When asked by Sean Robinson about this, Sadhna either didn’t understand the question or was being deliberately obtuse, because she said, “No one is saying anything against them. We are supportive of them.” but then in the same breath, both her and Sumit’s Father, Anel started saying things like, “Well, why should they get married?
They’re already living together. Why do they need a marriage certificate?” yes, but that’s not the way the government of India sees it, the government of India was ready to kick Jenny out of the country if they didn’t get married.
As for Jenny, it looks like she is enjoying the fact that the parents can’t stop the wedding and perhaps getting a little “I know something you don’t know.” revenge on Sadhna, feeling like she has the upper hand for once, because now she is Sumit’s legal wife and nothing can come between that.
I also think that Sumit’s Father wouldn’t be willing to pay for another divorce even if Sumit begged him. Which honestly might have something to do with him not admitting that he was married yet – he might still be on the hook to his Dad for the $10K for his first divorce. If his Dad decided to stop paying the payments as a revenge tactic then that might play a role in things as well.
It also might have had something to do with the fact that his brother, Amit, the one with the perfect marriage, was right there with his family approved wife and Sumit couldn’t stand the humiliation of being told on international television what a failure of a son he was and having his own relationship compared to that of his brothers’, or it could be a combination of both. If Jenny and Sumit come back next season, I guess we’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
