’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers tells that we’ve been riding Mike Berk pretty hard about his lack of manners and messiness on Before the 90 days, but that was before we found out that he actually has a legit medical condition that explains some of why he is like he is.
Fiancé Ximena was getting all up in his face about leaving a tissue in a driver’s car and saying that it’s not their car so they can’t leave tissues in the car (and with a pandemic you don’t want to do that anyway), at one point she even asked the driver for a trash bag so that Mike could throw his tissue away.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: That’s when Mike came clean.
He told her that he has ADHD and when it comes to organization and being messy, that it affects him, he gets distracted easily and he forgets things like cleaning. This actually is a common trait among those that suffer with the disease, organization can be a challenge and Mike said that he has suffered with that all of his life, but he only got diagnosed around the time that he was in middle school.
Ximena didn’t really seem to understand at first and wanted to know more, fair, since we don’t know how much ADHD is publicized in her own country, it seems to be a pretty common diagnosis here.
But after he told her that his lack of organization and messiness didn’t come from a lack of manners, or even full intention of ticking her off, Ximena was pretty understanding about it. Way more understanding than we initially thought she was going to be.
Mike told her he didn’t tell her before because he thought she would understand, but Ximena was really nice about it. In fact, she was way nicer than Mike was when he found out that she could no longer have kids, so there’s that. Perhaps he was projecting just a little bit of his own insecurity on her with that.
She said that if they intended to be married that she didn’t want there to be any secrets between them which is… really sweet. Although somebody does need to get Mike some antacids… for Ximena’s sake. (Come on production, offer the guy some tums!) Stay tuned!!!
