Because it’s not enough that both Harry and his wife Meghan Markle threw the entire royal family under the bus in their epic interview with Oprah last year, the Duke of Sussex is now writing a memoir about his life as a royal and about his family, too. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince Charles Is Super Worried About What Prince Harry Will Reveal In His Memoir
According to new reports, sources say that Prince Charles is growing concerned about what Prince Harry’s tell-all might reveal about life behind the scenes at Buckingham Palace. Prince Harry has made it no secret that things have been rather strained between him and his brother Prince William ever since he began his relationship with Meghan Markle.
What’s more, Harry also admitted in his epic interview with Oprah that his father Prince Charles had cut him off, both emotionally and financially. Some critics believe that the book could threated Charles’ reign as the future King of England. Some family members are even experiencing “anger and disappointment” over the book.
One insider told The Sun, ““Harry is fiercely loyal and protective of his late mother and her legacy. He didn’t approve of Camilla sweeping in as the great love of his father’s life. Understandably he found those early years incredibly difficult, and he might publicly blame Camilla for much of what he believes went wrong in his childhood, and the trauma the whole situation caused.”
The tipster added, “Charles is deeply protective of Camilla. The last thing he needs — especially in a year of celebration that should be all about the Queen — is an excoriating takedown of Camilla at a time when people have finally taken her to their hearts.”
Another source even said the news of the book couldn’t come at a worse time for Queen Elizabeth, who is currently grieving the loss of her husband of 74 years, Prince Philip.
The tipster put it this way, “She is still grieving very deeply and wanted to head to Balmoral to escape from things. She is also incredibly tired. The announcement of Harry’s book, and the new claims that he could release four books, are the last thing she needed.”
