’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers indicate that last year when American Kenny Nedermeyer moved from his native Florida down to Mexico to be with the love of his life, Armando Rubio, we were all rooting for them, but were worried. Apparently, Mexico there is more societal opposition to same sex marriage and they even had to endure some slurs while they were out together one day at dinner from some random person.
Armando’s family also provided some opposition as well, because they weren’t always accepting of his relationship with another man. The only one out of the group that seemed to accept their relationship for exactly what it was – true love – was little Hannah, Armando’s sweet little daughter.

Then there came the government opposition, even though their same sex marriage was legal in the Mexican state where they had moved to, they still had to get a paper from the human rights coalition stating that they were allowed to get married, otherwise they were going to be denied their right to be married.
Armando worked tirelessly to get this sheet of paper, the one documentation that they needed to be able to get married in the state of Mexico, he called so much that the office told him to stop calling, because apparently Mexico does not allow you to Karen your way through legal paperwork.
Then COVID happened and everything was put on hold, and Kenny’s daughter, who was pregnant at the time started missing him something terrible. Also, Armando’s Dad seemed to be the very last person to come around to accepting Kenny and Armando’s relationship.
For a second we wondered if this wedding was even going to happen or if Kenny wasn’t going to have to pack it all in and move back to Florida having given it the old college try. But sometimes unfortunate circumstances have silver linings and during COVID the state office did away with the need for extra paperwork involving the marriage certificate, they emailed Armando with the good news and the wedding was on again!
It has been exactly one year since those two tied the knot and according to their IG pages are still going strong. We wish them a happy anniversary and a lifetime of happiness together. Stay tuned!
