’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that Kenny Neidermeyer and Armando Rubio moved mountains in order to be with each other. Kenny moved to Mexico, adjusting to a life that was rather difficult for him, and Armando moved to an entirely different state in Mexico, away from his family with his little girl Hannah, in order to be with the man that he loved, but even though you could take the man away from the family, you couldn’t take the family out of the man.
Armando had a hard time coming to terms with being public with their relationship at first because his very conservative family had qualms about him being with Kenny, especially his Dad.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Beautiful Sentiments From The Father Of Armando Rubio – Shows Up To Support Him On His Big Day
Armando’s Dad is definitely some of the old guard. Last year he wouldn’t even show his face at a family gathering when Kenny was introduced as Armando’s fiance.
As you’ll remember, the family was not so much on board, in fact, one of Armando’s aunts was visibly in tears about him being with a man. But tears or not, Armando pressed on and introduced Kenny as his fiancé and said that he and Kenny were going to be together and get married.
The family, even though they were heartbroken because their expectations were shattered, they were, in the end, understanding of Armando’s feelings and were supportive.
All except for his Dad. His Dad stayed out of the picture for that meeting, but fast forward a year and Armando took Kenny back to his parents’ place for a visit and this time his Dad seemed to have dealt with whatever inner conflict he was feeling about Armando being in a relationship with another man and sat down to have dinner with Kenny.
They actually seemed to get along, but as for getting married – he told Armando that he wasn’t fully on board with that and that he may not show up for the wedding – that really hurt Armando.
For months, his Dad hemmed and hawed about the decision to show up at the wedding, finally, the rest of the family convinced him to show up and support Armando on his big day because it wouldn’t be right otherwise – besides, they were all going to be there.
Instead of the big drama that we expected Armando’s family to raise, Armando’s Dad said something really beautiful after the wedding. “There is no need to put up barriers in your mind not to accept anything. It is normal and we need to treat it that way.” a testament to just how far Armando’s Dad has come in his way of thinking. We’re happy for Armando and Kenny and wish them a lifetime of happiness together. Stay tuned!!!
