’90 Day Fiancé’ spoilers tells that after the first encounter of the incredibly pissed off Grandma, Jihoon does not want a repeat performance. Now that Elicia is on her way back to South Korea from the states for a visit, this time bringing Deavan’s step-Dad along for the wedding (wait, didn’t they already have that?), Jihoon is shaking in his boots.
So much so that it prompted Deavan to facetime Elicia and point-blank ask her if she still wanted to kill Jihoon, thankfully, Elicia said no. The whole conversation flies directly in the face of what Elicia originally said in a long ago interview, that she and Jihoon made up the same night after the incident and that everything was okay between them. Makes you wonder, who lied?
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: JIhoon still has a healthy fear of Elicia
Elicia could have lied to cover her tracks after the amount of backlash that she got from the episode, both her and Deavan. I could see why she would want to lie to save face and not look like an absolute looney, I mean, who wants to come off as the crazy Mother-in-Law?
Granted, some people are perfectly okay with that, but they aren’t people that we’d call normal under any circumstance. Although, Elicia does have the excuse of being totally in the moment and just acting on maternal instinct for her granddaughter.
Jihoon could have also lied because he didn’t really mention being scared of Elicia during any of his social media blasts. If he was still scared of his Mother-in-Law then it looks he would have said something all those times that he ‘defended’ himself on social media.
I guess his defense would be his pride, and who wants to admit that they’re scared of their own Mother-in-Law? Not many men would want to admit that, and, there’s probably a certain cultural thing around being a tough guy in South Korea, I don’t know that for sure but at least among Jihoon’s friends there seemed to be a good amount of machismo to go around.
