’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers finds that, when Jenny Slatten decided to move to India to be with fiancé Sumit Singh she always thought that things were going to go pretty straight-forward between them. But now that they’ve learned that there is no way that his parents will ever approve of their union they have to find some loopholes in order to keep her in the country to prevent her from having to leave every six months.
Of course the smart thing to do would be to get married, but Sumit’s parents (AKA: Sumit) aren’t “ready for that” as he told the lawyer, so the lawyer gave them some pretty interesting options.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Hare Hare Krishna, Jenny!
The first one was a no-go, and that was for Jenny to renounce her American Citizenship. She said that there is no way that she’s going to do that because currently she is on American social security, something that she worked her entire life to obtain.
She’s not going to suddenly up and renounce the country that gave her everything. Also, her children and grandchildren still live here and she would like to maintain a relationship with them, so there’s no way that she’s going to give all that up just to stay with Sumit who, from the looks of it, isn’t marrying her anytime soon.
So the lawyer gave them a second, more feasible and way more interesting option. Apparently Jenny can join ISKON, an organization for Hare Krishna missionaries, and get a visa that way. She did ask the lawyer if she would have to go around and tell people about the religion and sing at airports (a popular haunt of Hare Krishna missionaries, it would seem), Sumit seemed like he was all for this.
He’s a religious person himself and said that he grew up being taught that Hare Krishna was something like a superhero, but Jenny is not religious at all, not even the western religions, so this is new for her and something that she said that she’ll have to wrap her brain around. She isn’t the only one that’s going to have to wrap her head around this! The rest of the fandom is scratching their heads as well. Stay tuned!!!
