‘90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way‘ spoilers find that Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber are in the middle of a very contentious point of their relationship on screens right now. Evelin claims to be devastated that Corey had a relationship with a Peruvian woman named Jenny while she and Corey were married, though Evelin had tossed Corey out at the time and, in the immortal words of Ross Geller, Corey thought, “WE WERE ON A BREAK!”
Evelin is not receiving much love or support from viewers as, though Corey having an extra marital affair would surely hurt his wife no matter how on the rocks they were, many are calling the Ecuadorian a hypocrite, with Evelin being accused of cheating on Corey many times.
‘90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: How did Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber Lose Their Bar?
Evelin recently wrote an impassioned post on Instagram about how she is being treated by the 90 Day fanbase with one part of the the long message saying that she has had the worst year of her life with all the drama with Corey but also, because the two of them lost their business.
Many will remember that Corey sunk quite a chunk of change- approximately $40k- into a beach bar with his fiancé (that we recently found out is actually his wife).
Instead of garnering sympathy as she may have been seeking, the 90 Day family jumped into investigation mode, to try and fond out what happened to their investment.
It was discovered that Corey and Evelin allegedly opened their bar (aka, a hut with no walls according to one Redditor) on land they didn’t own. They also did not seek permission to set up shop on that land. The landowner then reportedly destroyed the bar and beseeched them not to return.
Another report says the land was ‘public property’, but the bar set up was still not legal. It all seems quite fishy as the couple apparently owned a piece of land that they once spoke to a wedding planner about the possibility of setting up their wedding there.
Something doesn’t add up.
It is important to note that a commenter, who seems familiar with how things work in Ecuador explained, “It’s a really common practice in parts of Latin America. You ‘take over’ land and then it’s yours. If someone else already owned it, they come back to fight for it back.”
This begs the questions, was the ocean side rock pit the wedding planner looked at also land the two tried to ‘take over’ rather than purchase?
Perhaps we will get to see more about this bar and hostile land take overs as 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way airs Sundays on TLC at 8pm!
