’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that that Sumit planned on marrying Jenny in the first place. I think Sumit got cold feet and realized that he was $10K in debt to his parents and probably realized that if he did get married to Jenny then there is no way he could ever ask his parents for money ever again.
This and his Mother being an abusive, controlling shrew is probably what culminated in Sumit ending the decision to marry Jenny right there. If he hadn’t had to borrow money from his parents, you might have seen a slightly different story from Sumit, but as it is, he’s what they call a parasitic single and is probably going to go back home to live with his parents after Jenny leaves.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: So just what was your plan, Sumit?
This is sad because he essentially started a relationship for no reason. He is not emotionally mature enough to cut ties with his parents.
I feel sorry for Jenny because even though her heart was breaking, she had sympathy for Sumit and said “I understand we can’t get married because of what your Mother said.” now Sumit is trying to assure her that she’s not going back to the United States and that he’s going to find an alternate way for her to live in India with him and that they will live together but somehow, I have my doubts.
Sumit is bumbling at best when he tries to do anything. He only got the divorce because his Dad was willing to lend him the money to pay off his ex-wife’s family. If he hadn’t had that looming over him, then he would have strung Jenny along for forever.
His Mom just gave him an out in order not to get married to Jenny and to string her along for even longer. The thing is, I think Sumit’s Mom is all talk and she just didn’t want her son getting married.
I think if they had gone ahead and gotten married at the temple like Jenny wanted that sooner or later, Sumit’s Mom would have been forced to accept the fact that they were married and just had to deal with that, but no Sumit had to try again and she had to open her big mouth.
I don’t know why she’s threatening suicide now because according to Jenny the relationship between them wasn’t always this bad, in fact she has pictures of Sahna and her together and she said in 2013 Sahan loved her and was a good friend to her so she’s shocked and hurt by this turn of events.
I think Sahna is just mad because Jenny does not see Sumit like a little boy, she sees him as a man, and Sahna feels threatened by that, they both do, because his Dad said that he is changing from the inside out and that his views are more westernized and more American now and that he doesn’t think like an Indian anymore.
I think they are both threatened by the idea of Sumit actually acting and living like an adult, for what reason, I have no idea because they have another son who is doing that exact thing and they don’t seem to have a problem with it.
Still, I think that this latest outburst from Mommie Dearest just gave Sumit the out he needed in order not to marry her. What a sad and frustrating end to a couple that, was honestly, so adorable in the beginning. Stay tuned!!!
