Ever since Deavan Clegg, from 90 Day Fiancé, announced that her son, Taeyang has cancer, fans have been skeptical of her motives. Many of them think that she is making money off of his diagnosis. She has started to get a lot of backlash on social media these days.

We were first introduced to Deavan when she was married to her ex-husband, Jihoon Lee. She moved to South Korea to be with him and they had a lot of differences. Culturally, they did not see eye to eye and she decided to move back to Utah. Shortly after her move home, she began dating Topher Park.

Many fans felt that she was already dating him because they moved very quickly in their relationship. Topher pretty much stepped up and became the father figure her two children never had. Now Deavan is pregnant with her third child and since announcing her pregnancy, a lot has happened, including the cancer diagnosis.
Taeyang has been diagnosed with b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Deavan and her mother have been sharing updates on his health and she has told her fans that she is heartbroken that this has happened to her child. Reddit users aren’t exactly sure that Deavan has been truthful about the amount of money she needs for these treatments.
Many fans feel that she is exploiting her child for the money and she doesn’t have the right reasons in mind. She has been telling her fans that they can subscribe to get daily updates on Tayeang’s health and this seems strange to fans. She will only go Live for her fans that have paid for subscriptions. To fans, this sounds more like a business venture instead of a health scare.
Deavan shared a picture of her son, in a mask at the hospital, and captioned it, “We now have a subscription option on Instagram! We will be giving exclusive daily updates on Taeyang and the family. As well as subscription only lives twice a week. Along with early access to our podcast coming out at the end of the month! We will also be having an exclusive gender reveal party live (soon to be announced).” Reddit users wrote, “This is really grotesque.” Another added, “Is she putting this poor child on these exclusive lives?”
Fans are very disturbed by the fact that she is trying to make money off of her sick child and it looks as if she may start to lose fans if this is her next move.
