’90 Day Fiancé’ spoilers find that it’s not only Omar and Avery who just got some great news. Avery’s Mom and fan-favorite, Teri Watkins must be doing a happy dance today, also.
Omar, a Syrian native wed Avery from Ohio in Lebanon on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. With Avery being only 19 Mom, Teri chaperoned her daughter and, though she was very worried over her daughter’s decisions, supported her in every way.

Unfortunately, due to travel bans, the two couldn’t just settle in the US like the rest of the K1 visa couples. After the couple wed, Teri- with the help of an immigration lawyer who explained the process for the CR-1, the next visa the two had to try- convinced Avery to stay in the US while her husband settled back home in war torn Syria.
The newlyweds stayed separated for over a year before they got the great news that Omar would get his visa interview in March 2020. Then, the pandemic happened, and the government offices shut down for non-essential business.
After the pandemic lingered and all hope of the couple living together in the US seemed lost, Teri once again tearfully supported her daughter’s decision to move with her dentist husband to Dubai in the UAE.
Now finally, it’s seems all of Omar and Avery’s patience, and Teri’s selfless support for her eldest daughter is being rewarded. Omar was finally granted a visa interview with the US consulate in Dubai.
While this was wonderful news, both Omar and Avery remained cautiously hopeful, remembering what the immigration lawyer told Avery- that Omar’s chances of having the travel ban lifted for him is only 5 %!
Avery told fans on her the YouTube channel she shares with her husband that she waited at home on tenterhooks until Omar returned with the good news- he aced his interview!
They both claim it wasn’t luck, the couple worked hard on ensuring they had everything required, including Omar choosing his outfit and ironing it extra special to make a good first impression.
Quite the change from a lot of the couples we see on 90 Day Fiancé who seem to put the least amount of effort into their relationship as possible!
All this good news is to say that Teri will soon be seeing her daughter, and her son-in-law again as the couple plans to move back to Ohio where Avery cannot wait to be reunited with…her cat!
