’90 Day Fiancé’ spoilers finds that fans will recognize the names Evelin Villegas and Corey Ratheberger from the previous seasons of 90 day fiancé. The last time we saw them was when 90 day was airing the self-quarantine special.
Where they were living people had to quarantine every day from 2PM till 5AM and there was literally no one allowed outside on the street from 2PM until 5AM the next day. They were only allowed to drive into town once a day to get what they absolutely needed, and Evelin kept pointing out that a lot of people on their street had actually died from Coronavirus.

But quarantining weren’t the only issues that this couple was facing. The last time we saw them Corey also said there was not much of their savings left, and that their only source of income, the Tiki Bar, was shut down because of the virus.
And most recently, Evelin posted on her insta story about how she had been trying to keep her marriage going for the last two years, when it was clear that Corey was a raging alcoholic. She said this:
“It’s not healthy to keep trying to fix someone. For the last 2 years I have been trying. It’s emotionally and mentally draining. Addicts can only get better if they seek help. They not only destroy their life but the ones around them as well. I can’t with him anymore, I really can’t. His family that always checks my stories, please this time reach out to him!!
It’s embarrassing and sad to share this. And I don’t make this public to play the victim in here. I do it because he cares about what’s public, he pretends and lies about his alcohol issues, he thinks that if it’s secret it doesn’t exist, but the truth is that it is a real problem and I’m not an expert, I do not know what to do anymore. I feel that me keeping the secret for so long has been somehow enabling him. I hope he wakes up and seeks help.”
Previously, Evelin had received a lot of backlash from fans online saying Corey was an idiot for staying with her, and how Evelin had everything in her name and that he had moved from the US to live in poverty, but… before we go judging anyone too harshly, let’s look at the facts.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Addiction is an illness. Just like any other illness, except it is psychological.
Addiction changes a person, Corey may not be the same guy that Evelin originally fell in love with anymore, he wouldn’t be the first guy to change in the face of addiction and potentially ruin a marriage. Lots of people have done it.
And in defense of Evelin, there have been lots of wives over the years who have felt overwhelmed when their husbands have turned to alcohol. Unless you’re a trained addiction counselor, you aren’t going to know what to do in this situation, so perhaps speaking out on IG was Evelin’s only outlet. Sometimes raising awareness helps.
That, along with the added stress of losing their livelihood to a pandemic, which is what a lot of people are facing right now, it’s amazing that they’ve stayed together this long. So… let’s leave the judgment for these two at the door and just hope that Corey gets the help that he needs. Stay tuned!!!
