When we all saw the new trailers for the fifth season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, we got a chance to see two new cast members to the franchise, Ben Rathbun and his girlfriend, Mahogany Roca, who lives in Peru. Ben lives in the states and has been chatting with Mahogany online for a few months. Fans of the show were concerned that she may be a catfish because we hadn’t seen them on the show yet. Don’t worry, they will be on the January 16 episode.

Ben really wants to meet Mahogany face to face and feels that if this works, he will marry her. The only thing is, the couple has never chatted with one another on video chat. His friends feel that she is a catfish because they have never done anything other than exchange texts and phone calls.

Is Mahogany real? Many viewers feel that she is a complete catfish and that she is using Ben for money and gifts. Now that he is ready to fly to Peru to meet her, many fans of the show feel that he will get stood up because she is not real. This has happened on the show before so this isn’t something new to TLC, but fans would much rather watch the real couples as opposed to catfished ones.
Ben has told his friends and family that the reason for never chatting with Mahogany is that she is very shy and doesn’t want to be in video. Of course, his friends don’t believe any of it. They think that she is someone else and is only using him for money. Ben has very strong religious beliefs and he trusts her because of how much they talk about how quickly he fell for her.
Mahogany and Ben are both models and they are both very Christian. They bonded quickly on the topic and that is why Ben continues to want to meet her. There are fans of the show that think Ben knows that Mahogany is a catfish, but he wanted to be on the show to get more exposure for his modeling career.
