The second that TikTok had gotten banned in America, Angela Deem went live on Instagram answering why Michael Ilesanmi would not return to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Angela and Michael were one of the most infamous couples in the franchise.
Angela married the Nigerian man despite struggling with his infidelity. The two would constantly fight before and after their wedding day to no end.
After appearing on The Last Resort and threatening Michael again and again of deportation, he had enough. Michael ran away from Angela’s home in Georgia and is now living a new life in Texas.
Angela would be angered learning of this and is now attempting to sue Michael to deport him once and for all. However, because of Angela’s ruthless and verbally abusive behavior, most fans are happy to see Michael escape. The couple has not been seen in the franchise since with no reasons given, but Angela may have just explained why.
90 Day Fiancé: Angela’s Livestream and Why Michael Isn’t On TLC Anymore
After TikTok got banned in the United States, Angela started a livestream on Instagram where she answered a fan’s question about Michael. The fan asked whether Michael would ever appear on a 90 Day Fiancé spin-off show.
In a clip posted by kikiandkibbitz, Angela responds, “he’s not going on a spin-off…he’s too much trouble.” Angela continues by calling Michael a troublemaker that “no one wants on a show.”
Many of the comments on the clip call Angela the real troublemaker. User riviera_anna1 wrote, “We like Michael. You[‘re] the one that wasn’t happy with him. All you did was yell and belittle him.”
The comments are filled with fans supporting Michael. Some even claim to want to watch a spin-off about him versus Angela. With TikTok now unbanned, Angela is expected to return to her usual streams on the app.
90 Day Fiancé: Is Angela Right About Michael?
Angela and Michael have a lot of bad press surrounding them. But Michael wasn’t innocent in their relationship. While Angela was extremely verbally abusive and manipulative towards Michael, he still cheated on her several times.
He also was caught running a visa scam in a group chat that Angela found on his phone. Michael had every right to leave Angela, but that doesn’t make him a totally innocent victim either.
When it comes to Michael not having a spin-off or appearing on reality TV at all, there are several likely reasons. Michael could have turned down any opportunities given to him. After all the drama he went through and the lawsuit with Angela to fight, he might not want to add more to his plate.
He probably prefers to keep his life a little more private from now on. If no networks are reaching out to him, then that could mean that he currently doesn’t have an interesting enough storyline going on.
90 Day Fiancé: Our Thoughts on Angela’s Reason for Michael No Longer Being in the Franchise
Angela is always trying to find ways to make Michael look like the worst person in the world. She does this to avoid any sense of accountability for her side of the relationship.
Considering Angela’s verbal abuse of Michael and her co-stars in the past, Michael has more luck coming back to the franchise than she ever will. Unfortunately, Angela will never admit that if it means giving Michael any positive credit.
