General Hospital (GH) spoilers tragedy occurred as fan-favorite Johnny Wactor, who played Brando Corbin, was shot and killed after a robbery in downtown Los Angeles after he confronted thieves breaking into his car.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Wactor Was Pronounced Dead On Arrival

The actor’s mother explained that her son and someone he worked with noticed three men messing with his car around 3 am early Sunday morning.

The actor apparently didn’t try to halt the robbery, but he was shot and killed, and the thieves got away. Currently, the police don’t have a description of the men who took Wactor’s life. His mother hopes the authorities will find the men quickly.

Police reported that Wactor was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. While the men have not yet been identified, a similar but separate incident occurred with someone stealing a catalytic converter.

Wactor was born in August 1986 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was an actor and producer who earned his first acting credit in 2007 when he played in Army Wives.

He also starred in the show Siberia, which was a supernatural drama series. Wactor acted on other shows like The OA, The Passenger, Westworld, and Hollywood Girl.

Wactor also had notable movie roles in USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage in 2016. The film starred Nicholas Cage and Tom Sizemore.

He played in Cold Soldiers, Disillusioned, and Sisters of the Groom. His most recent acting credit was in the horror anthology Dead Talk Tales: Volume I. Wactor also wrote a short film called Broken Riders.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Fans Were Devastated When Wactor’s GH Character Was Killed Off

Wactor started on General Hospital in 2020 and was on the show until 2022 when his character was the first victim of “The Hook.” During his run on GH, he filmed over 160 episodes.

On the show, he was one half of a super couple with Deception model Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), who struggled with drug addiction. His mother was Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs).

Fans were distraught when his character was killed; some even stopped watching during the Hook storyline after Brando was killed. He had a dedicated and loyal fanbase.

On Wactor’s Instagram, fans have already commented on his death. In his Instagram posts, it’s clear that he loved nature and the outdoors. In one of his photos, he is pictured with a baby possum, and someone said,

Johnny Loved the outdoors and animals

“These photos are adorable. I’m so sad that f***ed up people took your life.”

    Another person remarked,

“Wow, I just learned of your death. That breaks my heart. Praying for your family. God has gained an angel. I might not have known you personally, but you were such an incredible actor and friend to all who knew you. May justice be served on those who took your life.”

    Another person exclaimed,

“I won’t forget you. Our hearts were broken from hearing the news. Thank you for your kindness.”

Scarlett Wactor praised her son and said he was a loving man and that his death leaves a significant hole in the family’s heart. He is survived by his brothers, Lance and Grant.

Wactor’s death is as heartbreaking as it is senseless. He was only 37 years old. “May he rest in peace.”
