‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers uncover that Michael E. Knight’s slick Southern lawyer, Martin Grey, will be off the canvas temporarily. Michael E. Knight is also recognized for his role on All My Children as “Tad the Cad,” or Tad Martin.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Martin Left Town to Avoid Lucy
Martin recently broke up with his lady love, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). He was shocked to find Lucy after an obvious roll in the hay (literally) with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).
Only shortly before, Martin ended things with Lucy when she and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) were scheming against each other.
The shady attorney changed his mind. He went to find Lucy to win her back but walked in on her and Scott in a compromising position.
A wounded and hurt Martin decided to leave town to get away from Lucy and all the reminders the town had of his ex-girlfriend. He arranged all the paperwork for his sister, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), and her husband, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), to adopt baby Ace Prince-Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).
He stopped by his sister’s home and told her he was leaving town for a while. Laura asked where he was going, and he replied that he was off to see his mother in Louisianna and perhaps have a bit of Hummingbird cake.
After Martin left, Lucy stopped by Laura’s and asked if she knew where Martin was. After complaining about Tracy being the one who came between her and Marty, Kevin had a look on his face that showed that he didn’t believe her.
So once Lucy admitted that it was her fault, Laura told Lucy that Martin was headed to the airport, but if she hurried, she might be able to catch up with him.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Micheal E. Knight Has Always Returned
But by the time Lucy got to the airport, Martin had already slipped through the door and was gone. That’s the last we’ll see from Martin for a while.
Michael E. Knight has had several other occasions when he was off the show for extended periods but has always returned.
The writers first introduced Michael’s character in September 2019. Martin is the brother of Laura Collins and also Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). He was Nelle Benson’s (Chole Lanier) lawyer. Martin was also Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) close friend and lawyer. He tried to help Valentin locate the codicil to keep his grip on the Cassadine fortune.
GH has several characters that will require more attention, like the return of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Michael E. Knights’s co-star from All My Children, Eva LaRue, will also be starting on the show as Blaze’s mother, Natalia Rogers Ramirez, on February 26th. Jason’s return will coincide with the new writers coming to the show.
Most soap fans know by now that co-head writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Conner are out, and the new writers will be current GH script editor Elizabeth Korte and Patrick Mulcahey, who has worked in the soap opera business for three decades.
Any storylines the former writers have started can be scrapped immediately when new writers, including the characters, take the wheel.
Hopefully, Martin Grey will return to the show, as his presence is appreciated. He is refreshing and highly entertaining.
