Sources close to the royal family say they are afraid that Prince Harry has another tell-all book in him. After the release of “Spare,” Harry admitted that he had more material for the book, but it had to be cut out.
Harry Omitted Material from “Spare” That Could Be Damaging to the Royals
Harry has admitted that he has “plenty more to reveal.” He omitted some material from “Spare” for fear of his family’s reactions. The royal row seemingly has no end in sight. If Harry writes another book, he will be risking his peace, and his reputation will be even worse if possible.
According to royal biographer Robert Hardman, palace aides are worried. Their concern is that Harry and Meghan are not yet done trashing the royal family. They fear that Harry will tell more stories and secrets.
Hardman’s new book, “The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy,” covers the events after the Queen’s passing, King Charles’s coronation, and the rise of Prince William and Princess Catharine.
The Duke of Sussex released his “Spare” book on January 10, 2023. Last year, the world was in for a shock. From Harry’s famous altercation with his brother William that turned physical. Including his relationship with his father, King Charles, and Queen Camilla, Harry’s memoir aired a lot of dirty laundry.
Harry carefully left out large parts of the events that took place in 2018 after his royal wedding to Meghan Markle.
Harry explained to the UK online site, the Telegraph, that the first draft of Prince Harry’s book was 800 pages and that there were several stories he couldn’t share at that time.
Prince Harry May Spill More Family Secrets
The Duke explained,
“Anything I’m going to include about my family members, I will get trashed for. I knew that walking into it because they play such a crucial part in it. And also because you need to understand the characters and personalities of everyone within the book.”
Harry added that some things occurred between him and his brother and between him and his father that he was never going to share.
We aren’t convinced that Harry will ever share. It’s only a matter of where, when, and in what format and circumstances he would share the information.
He said he wanted to sit down with his family to discuss what he wrote in “Spare.” Instead, Harry was condemned for what he wrote.
It’s not a coincidence that Harry’s “Spare” only contained less than a fifth of its stories devoted to Harry and Meghan’s wedding. The book included life as working royals and their eventual departure from the royal family. This is often referred to as their “Megxit.”
The fact that the book conveniently left all that out made it evident that Harry was likely planning a juicy sequel. Another book to further explain how the royals wronged Harry and Meghan.
Interestingly, team Sussex denied that the couple had signed a multi-book deal at first. But when the time is right, Harry may have a lot more to say. Hopefully, he has learned to consider his family’s feelings before he says too much.
