‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers are looking forward to seeing the special prime time episode that’s being planned for Thursday, January 4, 2024.
The special is called ‘General Hospital 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling’ and will air from 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm and we expect it to appear on Hulu shortly afterwards.
It’s going to be a fun special as we’re going to see some old favorites return to share behind the scenes stories and escapades they experienced during their time on the show.
We’re going to have plenty of popcorn on hand for this special, so let’s dive in and see what we have to look forward to!
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Pulling back the veil
It’s always fun when we get to see bloopers and other stories from behind the scenes, and the fact we get to do so with some old favorites returning to talk about their time on the show and remember the fun old days.
Some of the names we can expect to see are current cast members Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Laura Wright (Carly Spencer), Genie Francis (Laura Collins) and more.
For an extra bonus, we’ll also get to welcome back Emma Samms (Holly Scorpio), Rick Springfield (Noah Drake), and Amber Tamblyn (Emily Quartermaine).
It’s going to be a fun filled romp down memory lane, but it’s also a lot to pack into only one hour, and that’s something that’s been bothering ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Need more than 60 minutes
It feels like a disservice to the show to only give it one hour to cover 60 years of the show. There’s so much more they could dive into from storylines to memorable moments and characters.
With so much history, they could do a master class on storytelling and soap opera history as they’ve had some of the most celebrated moments as well as one of the most questionable ones with Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) raping Laura to start off their relationship and wedding that led to 30 million viewers.
It’s just one of many moments they could explore, but we feel this will be more along the lines of the positive and fun ones that will celebrate the show instead of the moments that don’t fit in well with today’s society and the show has made peace with on various levels.
