‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers are set for a fun murder mystery as they’re finally going to discover Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth)’s body.
While it’s in the early stages of this storyline, it looks like Dante Falconeri (Dominik Zamprogna) will be the one that will discover Austin, most likely following up on their previous discussion about Austin finding evidence to end his boss.
While this will send Dante off on his own investigation as he’ll assume it was Austin’s boss that had him killed, and it’s possible, we think there’s going to be another angle to pursue.
But first, Dante’s going to cover all of his bases.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny has his suspicions
One of the people ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers expects Dante to visit and talk to is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about who he thinks is involved.
While Sonny knows Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is Austin’s boss, we think he’s going to suspect someone else and he’s not going to want to throw Ava Jerome (Maura West) under that bus until he knows for sure.
And even then, Ava may have done him a favor. But things are never that quick and clean in Port Charles, and we expect Ava to be totally innocent of Austin’s death, but that won’t last since we think she’s been set up.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nikolas wants his revenge
We’re sure that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) is the one that’s trying to buy Spoon Island under a false company name, but also he’s the one that shot Austin.
It’s just a hunch, but after Ava took his home and nearly killed him, it makes sense that he’d want some kind of payback for what she did.
He’s shown a ruthless side of himself before so it’s not out of the realm of possibility and Austin did recognize the person that was waiting for him.
We’re not worried about the fact that Austin saved his life since Nikolas has shown a ruthlessness and cruel side before, like when he tortured Ava when she was in the hospital and tried to make her think she was insane.
Given that and how quickly he can go from one extreme to another there’s little doubt in his mind that he could be behind this.
With Ava under investigation, she’ll be under greater pressure to sell the island and in his mind he’ll win everything back and be the dominant Cassadine again.
Of course, if he is responsible it’s only a matter of time until Dante and Sonny figure it out, and since Sonny doesn’t like him anyway he may solve Ava’s problem once and for all.
