‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) is at the point of no return from her villainous ways.
She went too far by setting up Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson) and having Sasha’s evil psychiatrist Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder), give Sasha pills to push her over the edge. Gladys used to seem more, well, um, human.
However, ever since her son, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), died, Gladys has made one evil decision after the next. First, she started to gamble away all of Sasha’s money.
Next, she set up Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) for stealing her bracelet at the Nurses Ball.
Then, she conspired with Sasha’s psychiatrist, Dr. Montague, to give Sasha the pills to keep Sasha under the conservatorship so she could continue to control her money.
Once Sasha was hooked on the pills, she hallucinated at the Metro Court pool and thought Cody was Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), and she stabbed him!
Through clever camera work, viewers could see Cody’s blood on Glady’s hands.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Gladys Goes Too Far
GH’s Sasha has been committed to Ferncliff thanks to Gladys’s greed and selfishness. The worst part is that Sasha was on the road to retaking control of her life.
Sasha has been through one fresh hell after the next. Finally, it seemed like she was getting her life back on track. Gladys ruined that for her, which is irredeemable. Gladys cannot be reformed after this.
Not even losing Brando is enough to explain Gladys’s bad behavior. What Gladys is doing to Sasha is disgusting and cringe-worthy.
Many ‘General Hospital’ fans have been clamoring for the end of this wicked storyline, so Sasha doesn’t have to be the victim anymore.
Seeing Dr. Montague injecting Sasha with whatever poison he gives her to make her hallucinate is beyond despicable.
Seeing him making her believe that she is somehow sneaking unprescribed medication into Ferncliff is entirely reprehensible, disturbing, and, frankly, hard to watch.
Gladys must be made of stone to do this to someone she calls family.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Gladys Gets Busted
The only thing that would salvage this horrific storyline is if Cody and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) find out what Gladys is up to and take her down.
What would be even better is if Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) finds out and orders a hit on Gladys and that doctor. Although, seeing the two sent to Ferncliff themselves would be highly entertaining.
Cody had the right idea when he told Gladys that she was the one who belonged in a straight jacket.
The character of Gladys has definitely crossed a line, and once everyone (hopefully) finds out what she did, she will be run out of Port Charles.
General Hospital has struck gold with Sofia Mattson. She is an outstanding actress and has played the material incredibly well.
However, Sofia could also shine in a lighter, romantic storyline, perhaps with Cody.
Cody seems to care about Sasha genuinely; the girl is long overdue for a hefty dose of happiness.
Gladys cannot possibly explain to Sasha why she played games with her mental health and watched as Dr. Montague had her institutionalized. As kind-hearted as Sasha is, she would never trust Gladys again.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Ghost of Brando
Wouldn’t it be fun if Brando’s ghost haunted his mother for what she had done to Sasha? Brando is, at the very least, turning over in his grave.
He could haunt Gladys in her nightmares, and her guilt could make her confess her crimes.
Watching Gladys tortured by Brando’s ghost and losing her mind like Sasha would be fantastic.
Still, it would not be enough to make viewers see this character as redeemable ever again.
