Who doesn’t like to smell good? There’s smelling good, and then there’s spending $160 for a 1.7 oz. bottle of eau de parfum. Beyonce has unveiled her 15th fragrance, Ce Noir. Apparently, she has worked years to make it just perfect.
In an Instagram post, the “Crazy in Love” hitmaker addresses her fans before opening a box to reveal an elegant and sophisticated-looking bottle.
“I’m super excited,” she says. “This is my Ce Noir I’m unboxing. She held up the box to the camera. “And it’s finally here after years of work.”
Description of Ce Noir
To describe her perfume, Beyonce explains,
“I wanted something monolithic, and I wanted something to have a little bit of intimacy.” She takes the bottle out of the cartridge and dramatically exclaims, “Right here, you can see inside the soul of the perfume.”
Beyonce is referring to the design of the bottle. It is a chrome bottle with an artfully made see-through circle in its center. Beyonce sprays the fragrance on her neck and adds a little to her long hair.
“Alright, my first spray,” the Renaissance tour creator says, demonstrating her excitement with a big grin. “Ooh,” she said with each spray.
“I actually spray myself during the show a few times,”
Beyonce shares with her fans. She is talking about how she often sprayed the fragrance on herself during her Renaissance tour.
“I’ve got to keep it fresh,” she explained. “And that’s Ce Noir. Say no more!” Beyonce was talking about her new fragrance in July on her website.
Ce Noir is undoubtedly extravagant and lovely (if you can afford a $160 bottle of perfume), with its top notes of clementine and golden honey peppered with rose absolute and jasmine samba. It contains base notes of Namibian myrrh and golden amber.
The fragrance is coming soon, and you can pre-order it now on beyonce.com. And it will be shipping in November in time for the holiday season. There will be a “special gift” included while supplies last. For $160, it should come with a golden goose.
Beyonce Has Many Other Fragrances
Of course, Beyonce created the uber-expensive perfume in France, where all the good stuff is made. Beyonce’s other fragrances include Heat Seduction™, Heat Wild Orchid™, Heat Kissed, and Shimmering Heat™.
The “Break My Soul” songstress’s 2014 perfume, Rise, was inspired by author and poet Maya Angelou and intended to feature a more private side of Ms. Knowles.
Heat™ was Beyonce’s first-ever perfume, released in 2010, and it comes in a vibrant red bottle indicative of fire. It features a sensual amber scent combined with almond macaroon, blush peach, and honeysuckle nectar.
The beyhive™ will soon receive a treat, as Beyonce’s concert movie, “Rennasiance: A Film by Beyonce.” The movie is set to premiere on December 1st of this year. So you can purchase Beyonce’s new fragrance and wear it to see the film if you want.
Perfume prices have been skyrocketing for the past year. There is a demand for higher-end fragrances, with a higher percentage of oils that make the scent last longer.
If you can spring for a $160 bottle of perfume, you may as well shell out the $300 for a dab of Chanel No. 5™.
