Meghan Markle is preparing her new cooking show for Netflix. Royal experts are slamming her without mercy.
Who Wants to Watch Meghan Markle Make Avocado Toast?
One royal expert, Charlotte Griffiths said it will be
“really cringe.” “Because although they’re not directly slagging off the royal family like they were in the last Netflix show, who would possibly tune in to a program about Meghan Markle cooking if it wasn’t for the fact that she’s married into the royal family?”
The show will coincide with the launch of her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. She will be selling everything from cookware to soap.
The Duchess regularly shared recipes on her blog “The Tig.” Her riveting description of Aegean-Inspired Kale Salad, “Yeah. Sure. Kale. We know. From salads to popsicles to Beyonce’s t-shirt, kale has seemingly taken over. And I’m bored with it. Or at least I thought I was….”
The former actress must have forgotten to include the description of the actual food. No one wants to hear pointless, constant chatter and watch a royal family reject making avocado toast.
The new show is advertised: “Celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship.” When was Meghan Markle known for her valuable gardening expertise?
Royal expert Rafe-Heydel-Mankoo said,
“I know it’s not friendship and family because, obviously, family is not one of her strong points.”
Meghan was famously roasting a chicken on the night Prince Harry proposed to her. Hopefully, not one of her pet chickens, though.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward had this to say about Meghan’s cookery show,
“It’s a bit desperate. As for her talking about friendship, that does make me feel a bit skeptical. She’s really known for losing friends rather than gaining friends. To hear her talking about friendships, I think that might go down a little strangely.”
Meghan Cannot Be Relatable or Authentic
Some have suggested that the Duchess may have some of her famous friends on the show. Perhaps Tyler Perry, Serena Williams, and some “Suits” cast members, perhaps? Maybe she can talk to Oprah while she cooks.
However, for Meghan to succeed in the lifestyle arena, she would have to be authentic and relatable. And sorry, but that’s not the Duchess’s style. She tends always to act and be forever fake.
Meghan’s cooking show and Prince Harry‘s polo series are said to be the only “Hail Marys” that the Sussexes have left in their arsenal regarding their Netflix contract. After their docuseries, “Harry and Meghan,” the couple had a string of failures on the streaming platform.
Before her death in September 2022, Queen Elizabeth warned Harry and Meghan not to use the royal family for commercial gain, and so far, that’s all they have done. They use the royal family to suit their purposes and enhance their poorly managed “careers.”
Harry and Meghan have a hand in anything and everything. They depend on their royal titles for exposure and media buzz, the same way Britney Spears depends on nude photos of herself for social media recognition.
When it comes to Harry and Meghan, they have run the gamut ad nauseam and have left no stone unturned. It doesn’t look like the Sussexes are going away anytime soon, from podcasts to cooking shows.
