‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that September starts with a bang as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his men are arrested.
The episode begins with a scene at Pentonville. Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) gives a colorful sermon about vengeance, enemies, and redemption to his “flock.”
He knew something good was about to happen, and he would receive some special reward for his patience and faith.
At the same time, Sonny takes a phone call about the shipment, a clever trick General Hospital used to foreshadow the events that were about to come.
A bizarre exchange between the prison warden and Cyrus made it evident to the viewers that they had a deal.
This happening is obviously what Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) meant when he said, “It’s going down tonight.” All hell is about to break loose.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dinner at the Metro Court
For dinner, Sonny meets Kristina Davis (Kate Mansi) at the Metro Court. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), and Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) are all there.
Sonny remarked how great his life was and how fortunate he was to have his family and the people he loved around him.
Nina is over the moon when she sees Wiley, and Michael and Willow seem to be thawing toward the idea of Wiley having contact with him.
Sonny is thrilled to see Nina so happy as he watches the interaction between Wiley and Nina. Michael’s issues with Sonny seem to be gradually fading.
While this is happening, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is working at Kelly’s. A regular customer warns her that her ex-husband is in danger.
He thought he heard the feds say “Corinthos” while on the docks. Carly panics and immediately tries to call Sonny.
Sonny sees Carly’s call but is not taking calls because he wants to focus on Kristina. Meanwhile, Carly calls Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and tells him to get out of dodge.
Dex hides behind the scenes and peaks around the corner to see what is happening. As soon as the Feds show up, he leaves. Sonny’s men are promptly arrested.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny is Arrested
Back at the Metro Court, the feds show up and arrest Sonny for violating the National Security Act. Nina, Kristina, Michael, Willow, and Wiley are all horrified and can’t believe what they are witnessing.
Sonny tried to reassure his family that this would all be taken care of and it was nothing to worry about. He knows the drill. Time to call “Killer Miller.”
The Pikeman situation is heating up. Sonny had set up Mason with fake information about the Pikeman deal, and everything seemed to go according to plan.
Sonny thought he was clear, but little did he know that Cyrus had been planning an ambush the whole time. Perhaps it’s a deal for Cyrus to get out of jail early to run his territory better.
Cyrus may have also had something to do with the judge giving Drew a harsh sentence because we see in the promo for Tuesday’s episode that he gleefully tells Drew he is no longer under Sonny’s protection.
