The Netflix show, Love is Blind, has become a huge success with viewers, but it seems to not be very successful for those who have tried to find love on it. The idea of the show is that couples are matched up and married without ever seeing one another. Each contestant sits in a room with a barrier and can only hear the person on the other side.
They will chat with multiple contestants to determine if they are falling in love with that person and if they will end up proposing to the person behind the wall. One of these couples that fell in love was Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely. These two fell in love through a wall and ended up getting married. This week, though, they said they were getting a divorce.

Their joint statement was posted on Instagram and read, “What’s go on, family? After much thought, we’re saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing. While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions, and that’s okay. Coming to this decision was far from easy and we will always wish each other the absolute best.”

It went on, “We hope you all will give us some space as we close this chapter of our lives. Thank you to our close friends and family for loving us both through our experience. To the Love is Blind family and Netflix, thank you for this unforgettable opportunity and support. Each of you have brought overwhelming love and joy into our lives. This experience taught us so much about ourselves, vulnerability and love. We don’t regret a single thing!”
In one of their first interviews together, the couple had talked about moving and Iyanna didn’t want to move to where it was cold, like Chicago. Jarrette added, at the time, “So the timeline is… figuring out where we’re going to settle, getting her back in school. And then once she completes school or she’s close to completing school, then we’ll have kids. Two years.”
As of right now, there are only three successful love stories from the Love is Blind series: Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton, Amber Pike and Matthew Barnett, and Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson.
