‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that we were certain that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was being used as a plot device to sabotage the relationship between Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), despite their troubled past. Chelsea clearly gave the impression that she wanted a second chance with Lily’s man. But when it became known that Daniel Graziadei would play Michael Graziadei again, everything changed.
You may recall that a young Daniel and Lily briefly wed in 2006, much to the dismay of their estranged mothers Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). She supported him when he was accused of murdering Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes), but she quit when she learned that Ambre Moore (Adrienne Frantz) had introduced him to drugs.

But this is today, and that was obviously back then. Lily and Daniel both possess greater maturity and experience. They are both parents. Both of them have had some life experiences. It isn’t hard to picture what they had first noticed in one another combining with what they had noticed now to create an irresistible pull if they were to reacquaint themselves. Could they get a second chance to mend their marriage?
There is no doubt that Billy and Lily‘s breakup would be influenced by Chelsea. While Lily spends time with Daniel as friends, Chelsea plays mind games with Billy in an effort to persuade him that there is something more going on than just a couple of ex-lovers hanging out.
Lily might be looking for a shoulder to lean on, and who better than her ex-husband, Daniel, if Chelsea does continue to play her game and something more occurs between her and Billy. Many fans have been divided about Lily and Billy being together in the first place, and it would truly complete the circle. This kind of plot twist could add a lot of interest to the narrative. Particularly considering that it seemed like nothing bad could possibly happen to their relationship.
