CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) Resurrected – Comes Back to Life!

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that Newman Week wraps up with the rebirth of Cassie Newman, played by Camryn Grimes. The episode first aired on November 21, 2003, and it’s a little confusing considering the timeline of the following week.

On Wednesday, Cassie died and on Thursday, she was very much dead. But suddenly, on Friday, we were flashing it way back, and Cassie wants the truth. Apparently producers are having fun playing with mixing the chronological order of flashbacks.

The episode starts with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) desperately trying to track down his own father, Albert Newman (George Kennedy), because obviously only great things can come out of this meet and greet.

Naturally, Albert is confused why Victor showed up. Victor explains that it’s some sort of lesson for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). The whole scheme seems to backfire and confuse Victor. The men start yelling and both are infuriated! A truly impeccable learning experience for Nick!

Meanwhile, Cassie is asking about the man that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) was talking to. Cassie is onto them, and it’s time that she knows who her real biological father is. Needless to say, nobody is jumping with joy about her questions.

Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) just rolled back into town and he is hitting it off with Christine Blaire (Lauralee Bell). Danny conveniently bumps into Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and nothing good ever comes of those two running into each other. Except their son, of course.

Sort of an odd note to wrap up Newman Week with – considering the tear-jerking performance we had on Wednesday, this ending just seemed a little subpar and confusing. What did you gather from Cassie’s questioning and Victor’s visit to his terrible father?
