Nothing like a new week and new possibilities to get CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers looking forward to possible twists and turns coming our way.
It looks like we’ll have to wait later in the week for any plot twists as we’ll be returning to the usual safe storylines following a brief change of pace.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Reality check
After botching the biggest event the last few years by having Ashland Locke (Robert Newman)’s death happen offscreen to heighten the mystery and protect Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)’s character, the writers are taking us back to safe storylines.
To kick it off, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will try once again to wake Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) up to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) being the most evil person in the world.
She’ll point to her manipulating them by helping Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) deal with Ashland’s death. Phyllis will argue it’s standard for Diane to use these moments to con them and then remind Jack about how Ashland lied and how he ended up.
‘Young and the Restless’ aren’t sure this will work as planned, but there is a chance Phyllis will have another card up her sleeve as she could’ve already done something to set Diane up to fail.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Complete support
With Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks)’s procedure behind her, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will remain attached to her side as she recuperates.
It’ll be another chance to demonstrate how much Mariah loves her, as we have a feeling this is setting up a possible angle for Tessa’s singing career to be over as it’ll give Mariah a chance to be there for her.
It’ll be a balancing of when Tessa helped Mariah following her pregnancy.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Devon vs. Nate
It was bound to happen as soon as Nate Hasting (Sean Dominic) followed his gut and went off script at the company’s launch.
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) has been overprotective of the family business to the point he only really accepts viewpoints similar to his, meaning safe and conservative.
Nate’s aggressive go get em style rubs Devon the wrong way, and now we’re going to see a power struggle between them begin.
Nate has his moments, but we’re on his side and think Devon should listen and help him grow instead of trying to reign him in. What do you think?
Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
