As we know, comedian Dave Chappelle was tackled while performing onstage for his new Netflix special. During his show a man charged the stage and tackled Dave while having a faux-gun that turned out to be a knife. The incident has gone viral and of course, everyone has compared it to Chris Rock being slapped by Will Smith.
Joe Rogan spoke about the incident on his recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with fellow comedian Tony Hinchcliffe and called out the situation while wondering where the security was. Though, Joe was very impressed with how Dave was able to move his hips and nearly avoided going down after the tackle.
Joe Rogan Responds To Dave Chappelle Being Attacked Onstage – Jamie Foxx Jumped Up In A Cowboy Hat To Help
They played the clip of what happened and laughed about Jamie Foxx jumping up on the stage in a cowboy hat to help Dave. As it turns out, the young man was beaten for his attempt to attack Dave and his arm looked broken or dislocated. However, the L.A. attorney has elected to drop the felony charge that he was originally hit with and Rogan sounded off on that the other day on social media.
Rogan wrote, “When you see that a person commits a clear crime, and does it to one of the most loved performers alive, and does it in a very high profile public setting, and it gets captured on video, and you don’t charge that person for what they obviously did, it’s the kind of thing that makes people lose faith in law enforcement. That’s never good.”
