“What a difference a year makes!” Adele wrote on Instagram, sharing two candid photos of herself. “If time keeps healing and smoothing out all the creases in my life like it does as the years fly by, then I can’t wait to be 60! I’ve never been happier! So many lessons, so many blessings to be grateful for. This is 34, and I love it here! Thank you for the birthday love as always x”
Adele Says That She’s Never Been Happier In Her Life
The past 12 months have seen many twists and turns for the Brit-award winner who released her highly-anticipated fourth studio album 30, before having to cancel her Las Vegas residency. Back in January, Adele announced that she would be postponing her shows in a tearful message to her fans.
“I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready,” the star told fans in a tearful update on Instagram. “The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can’t in case we are not ready in time,” she shared. “It is absolutely 100% happening this year. It has to happen this year because I’ve got plans for next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!”
“Half my team have Covid and it’s been impossible to finish the show,” she said, adding that “delivery delays” had also played havoc with her plans.
Despite her apology, her show’s postponement has left many fans who had flown in and booked hotel rooms with no alternatives, and many said they couldn’t afford to return for whenever the shows would be rescheduled. But some music industry professionals noted in reports that axiom of show business that “the show must go on,” pointing out that Adele’s show was about her singing and not flying with a harness or other spectacular production.
