‘The Bachelor’ alum, Tia Booth may not have found love during the Arie Luyendyk helmed season 22 of the Bachelor, or during her appearances on Bachelor in Paradise seasons 5 and 7, yet she still got engaged this month in one of the most “Bachelor nation” styles possible.
It was on April 10, during the Atlanta leg of the Bachelor Live On Stage show when 30 year old Tia’s now-fiancé, Taylor Mock proposed to her…live and on stage.
‘The Bachelor’ Alum Tia Booth Gets Engaged During Bachelor Live on Stage
Tia introduced her social media followers to 26 year old Taylor back in October of last year. Taylor was a big support to Tia after the loss of her father and Atlanta fans were delighted to be a part of the proposal.
Tia admits to be “one thousand percent shocked” by the proposal but very sure of her response which was- of course “YES!”. Though Tia did suspect Taylor would propose sometime this year, she did not expect it to happen during the live event. Tia explained that she was under the impression she was to give out a date card on stage. Taylor proposed instead.
Host of the Bachelor Live on Stage show, Becca Kufrin assisted Taylor with pulling off the big surprise. Most Bachelor alum working on the show knew the proposal would happen, except for Maurissa Gunn. Her shock and excitement that can be seen in the proposal video was 100% authentic.
Taylor had asked Tia’s mother for her blessing before he got down on (very public) bended knee. Unfortunately he did not get the chance to ask Tia’s father. Kenny Booth passed away in February after a year-long battle with colon cancer. Tia has no doubt her father would approve, “after he gave him a hard time of course.”
Tia’s engagement at the Bachelor Live On Stage show is the perfect booked for her journey. Fans needn’t worry though, she still plans to be a part of the juggernaut franchise by being involved in the live shows and podcasts- but (fingers crossed) we won’t be seeing her competing for love ever again
Congrats you guys!
