President Joe Biden’s Approval Rating Dips To Lowest Point Yet In CBS News Poll
The results of the April survey show that the national mood as record-high inflation and illegal immigration hit four-decade highs with more expected to come as COVID-19-related restrictions drag on and violent crime remains elevated. About 69 perfect of the respondents weren’t happy with Biden’s handling of inflation, which hit a high of 7.9% in February. Even among Democrats, 41% percent disapproved of how Biden is handling inflation.
The CBS poll surveyed US residents, rather than registered voters or likely voters making it difficult to tell how precise the November midterm elections, which Republicans are favored to win.
Just two years ago, Biden won more votes than any other presidential candidate in history but his approval rating collapsed less than a year into office during the hellish withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Biden’s dismal approval rating could easily add to the Democratic woes of the midterm election and potentially 2024. A president’s party if heavily disfavored to win midterm elections. However, Senate elections are highly dependent on the qualities of a party’s nominee.
