Paul Levesque, better known as Hunter Hearst Helmsley AKA Triple H has announced the end of his career for in-ring wrestling. While he’s been a staple of the WWE and is the Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy and Development, he will not be stepping in the ring again for competition.
While this has been widely rumored and fans felt like his time would be coming up, he made the announcement official during an interview with Stephan A. Smith on First Take. Levesque spoke about his heart problems and how he nearly died and seeing his family as a reason for not stepping back into the ring.

Triple H Announces His Retirement From Wrestling During Interview With Stephen A. Smith
Hunter Heart Helmsley first debuted in 1992 in the International Wrestling Federation (IWF) under the name Terra Ryzing. It was in 1995 that he appeared in the WWE as Hunter Hearts Helmsley and over the next 4-5 years we would see the gradual change into Triple H, The Game, we all know and love today.
However, it was his team up with Chyna and Shawn Michaels and the formation of Degeneration X that really catapulted his career. In DX, he became famous for sticking it to Vince McMahon. From spraypainting his private jet to even dating (and marrying) his daughter, they did anything they could to get under Vince’s skin, and it worked with the fans.
Over the years, he transitioned to more of an executive role and has been pretty good at it. Of course, we all will miss him stepping into the ring, I can imagine he will still be very present and I’m sure we’ll hear that theme music again. Though for now, he is doing what is best for him, his heart and his family.
We thank you Triple H, for all the memories and we hope you enjoy your life after stepping out of the ring for good.
