Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez has said that an Orange County mother killed her daughter, 4-year-old, Masiela, then attempted to kill herself in a hotel room. Deputies say that on January 10th, they responded to the Star Island Resort in Kissimmee for a “suicide attempt” call.
The security at the hotel had received a call from the mother of Jacinda Decaro and wanted people to check in on her daughter as she was not able to get ahold of her. However, when security arrived at the room they found the master bedroom door locked and when they got inside they saw Jacinda and her daughter, Masiela unresponsive in the bed.

Beside them on the nightstand was a note that said, “I’m sorry”. The sheriff’s office said,
“Jacinda had a faint pulse and was transported to Advent Health Celebration for lifesaving measures. Unfortunately, Masiela was declared deceased on scene.”
They believe that Jacinda may have given them some type of medication in an attempt to commit suicide. Deputies say Jacinda remains in critical condition and that they are still investigating.
Truly a shocking story and we feel terrible for young Masiela. She was taken from the world by her own mother and we hope she rests in peace. It will be interesting to see how the mother will be charged should she live to see her consequences.
