Well, so much for that. Meghan Markle recently admitted that she didn’t want to be in the limelight at all when she first began dating Prince Harry back in 2016.
As a matter of fact, the future Duchess of Sussex went to great lengths in trying to avoid the paparazzi during the very early days of her relationship with the royal prince. Here’s what she has to say.

In her interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Meghan revealed how she and Harry once went to a post-apocalypse themed party in costume to have “one final night on the town” before news broke of their relationship.
They were joined by Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, and her now husband, Jack Brooksbank, who were visiting them in Toronto, Canada.
“The four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple,” Meghan said.
She added: “It was a post-apocalypse theme. So we had all this very bizarre costuming on and we were able to just sort of have one, final, fun night out.”
Meanwhile, Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., has branded her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show as embarrassing. The Duchess of Sussex participated in a prank skit on the daytime television show. She wore cat ears, devoured hot sauce on crackers like a chipmunk and held a huge crystal to her face during the segment.
Meghan got Ellen-style goofy when she donned an earpiece so Ellen could tell her what to say and do as she perused the wares of three vendors on the studio lot.
Thomas put it this way, “It’s no way to behave. The whole thing was kind of embarrassing. It was certainly embarrassing for the Royal Family. “It’s embarrassing for her as well. I suspect it embarrassed everyone in the UK, too. She’s putting herself out there as a duchess but I’ve never seen a duchess behave this way, doing stupid stunts.”
