Tiger King 2 will be dropping on Netflix in a mere month from now, but it seems it is not paying its stars nearly enough.
Jeff Lowe has received an eviction notice and has to be gone from the zoo he took over from Joe Exotic by this Friday- October 22.
According to legal documents, Jeff and his wife, Lauren owe their zoo landlords over $10,000 in unpaid rent. The Lowes are required to pay this sum and vacate by the end of this week, even after Lauren went to court to ask for some mercy.
Tiger King 2 Star Jeff Lowe Evicted from Joe Exotic’s Zoo Amid Year From Hell
Standing in court alone, saying Jeff was at home caring for their sick child, Lauren requested an additional 30 days to be ale to move their zoo animals and family. Her request was denied.
On the plus side, there will not be nearly as many animals to move as the Lowes were raided by the feds earlier this year, resulting 68 exotic big cats being taken from the zoo.
2021 has been quite the year for Jeff and Lauren.
Firstly, Jeff suffered a stroke in March and claims it was a result of being poisoned while drinking at a casino in Oklahoma. He seemed to make a full recovery but in April, after noticing drones flying over his zoo, he got into a physical altercation with a neighbor- who just happened to be hanging out with foe, Carole Baskin. Less than a month later the Thackerville, Oklahoma zoo was raided and the big cats removed.
Keeping on keeping on, both Jeff and Lauren were arrested in June for DUI’s, both driving the same car! The two switched out from the passenger to the driver’s seat but didn’t realize police were watching them the whole time and therefore arrested them both for being behind the wheel and over the legal driving limit.
Next Jeff became a wanted man after failing to appear in court. Four warrants had been issued for Lowe’s arrest after he failed to appear for a hearing at a Las Vegas court. This was in connection to a 2017 case where he was charged with three counts of not having a license or permit for wild animals, and one count of doing business without a license.
Perhaps Jeff was too busy getting former co-worker and Tiger King co-star, Erik Cowie’s remains shipped to him in order to cremate the body and give the zookeeper a proper send off. Erik was on the lam when he was found dead on a friend’s New York apartment floor – alcohol was said to be the cause of death.
It sure seems Tiger King 2 will have plenty to explore. Perhaps Netflix will be able to recapture that lightning-in-a-bottle popularity once again afterall.
