A day that we never thought we’d see. Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is reportedly facing criminal charges for his touching in an ongoing investigation of sexual harassment allegations brought against him.
A clerk at the Albany Criminal Court told New York Focus that the local sheriff’s filed charges for a Class A misdemeanor against Cuomo.
Cuomo resigned earlier this year after Attorney General Letitia James concluded in her report that Cuomo had sexually harassed multiple women while in office. This had several people calling the office to have him leave his post, including President Joe Biden of all people.

Since December 2020, more than 12 women have come forward with complaints and allegations against Cuomo. The latest developments are part of a second investigation from the State Assembly’s Judiciary Committee. Even though it’s just a misdemeanor as of now, at least it’s something and the women can have some type of relief.
Andrew Cuomo hasn’t been alone in this either, as his brother, Chris Cuomo over at CNN was having his own sexual harassment situation going on, though it appears it’s been resolved between him and the woman.
Hopefully, the former Governor will have more to answer to than just a misdemeanor should it turn out he’s guilty. More than a dozen women says a lot, but it is also a little suspicious if you’re playing Devil’s advocate.
