Now that she’s gotten some of her freedom back after her father Jamie Spears was suspended from her conservatorship, a lot of people were hoping that Britney Spears would do what she would promise to do and that’s get back on the stage again and perform.
After all, Britney did hint that she wasn’t willing to perform again until she won her freedom. But it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. Here’s what you need to know.
Britney Spears Has No Plans To Perform Anytime Soon
There’s a new report that says Britney has no plans to perform after her conservatorship, much to the dismay of her millions of fans worldwide. TMZ says that this comes after her former manager Larry Rudolph hinted that Britney was looking to officially retire. He said last summer, “It has been over 2½ years since Britney and I last communicated, at which time she informed me she wanted to take an indefinite work hiatus.”
During her court hearing back in June, Britney said that she felt “enslaved” by her father Jamie Spears for performing endlessly while under his thumb. “In California, the only similar thing to this is called sex trafficking, making anyone work against their will, taking all their possessions away: credit card, phone, passport,” the “Slave 4 U” singer told the court over the phone.
Just this past week Britney Spears scored a major victory in her conservatorship battle. Judge Brenda Penny suspended her father, James Spears, as conservator of her estate. It was a move Britney and her attorney, Mathew Rosengart, have been pushing for in recent months.
So far Britney herself has not made any comments about her future.
