Well, it sure has been a long time coming but it looks like the British Royal Family is getting back to work in the same way they did in 2019 and before the global pandemic hit. There are new reports that say Princess Anne will be conducting her first international engagement of the year with a scheduled trip to France.

As many royal fans know by now, the royal family has been keeping close to home in order to ensure that everyone is being kept safe from the ongoing spread of COVID-19. Here’s what you need to know.

Princess Anne To Take On First International Engagement Of 2021

According to reports, Princess Anne will be in France for a two-day visit in October. She will meet with senior representatives of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Anne’s two days in the French capital of Paris also marks the 75th anniversary of UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). Princess Anne will be meeting with the recent laureates and prize-winners of the UNESCO-L’Oréal Women in Science Program, which recognizes “researchers who are working to overcome global challenges.”

Princess Anne was supposed to travel to Tokyo for the Summer Olympics, but because she was unable to, she sent Team Great Britain a virtual message. “As your President, I would like to wish you every success for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games,” the Princess Royal said. “Although I am sad not to be there in person, I and the whole nation will be cheering for you and proudly supporting you from home.”

So far the only two members of the royal family who have made trips abroad include Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. They made official visits to Germany, Greece and Kuwait this year.
