Katie Thurston was not alone when she was letting Greg Grippo know just how much he had hurt her during The Bachelorette.
‘The Bachelorette’: JoJo Fletcher Is Fully Behind Katie Thurston’s Relationship With Blake Moynes-‘I Congratulated Her’
Greg’s sudden exit from the series left a sense of bitterness which all played out during the season finale, as Greg and Katie came face to face once again. They had reportedly not spoken to each other since his exit, only to exchange some brutal home truths on the reunion.
While the fanbase was divided over who had acted inappropriately, other members of The Bachelorette were united behind Katie. That is according to JoJo Fletcher herself.
During an interview with Us Weekly, JoJo said: “I congratulated her on the Bachelorette group chat that we all have. At the end of the day, the fact that she was able to find love and she’s happily engaged to Blake [Moynes], that is something that we all wanted for Katie and [we’re] are excited for her.” Nevertheless, there is still a lot of negativity surrounding Katie’s relationship with Blake.
This can be boiled down to two main reasons. First of all, some fans suggest that Katie only chose Blake because Greg had left the show. Naturally, she did not want to leave the show and go home alone. Secondly, former members of the Bachelor franchise have not been impressed with Blake. Ashley Iaconetti referred to Blake as being ‘crude’ and not someone she would walk away with.
Having said all that, JoJo has advised the couple to ignore the online haters. She added: “Don’t focus on people saying negative things…You just gotta trust each other. Soak up this time together because it is going to be so fun, so exciting to live your life. But also know difficult times come after the show.”
Time will tell how the couple will get on. They are still in the honeymoon period of their relationship, given that the show has just ended. But if they manage to overcome the initial struggles that will come their way, then they should be just fine. We will have to see how it will all play out.
