When it comes to the entertainment world, if there’s one person that you don’t want to touch, it’s an alleged bully. Designer Zuhair Murad is learning that the hard way as there’s a new report that says he is facing a lot of backlash for dressing Chrissy Teigen for a UNICEF gala.
As many fans know by now, the former model has been all but canceled for her bullying controversy, as she once told Courtney Stodden on Twitter to “go kill yourself.” Here’s what you need to know.
Designer Zuhair Murad Faces Backlash For Dressing Chrissy Teigen
Critics are accusing the Lebanese designer of supporting a bully and having “low moral standards” simply because Chrissy Teigen wore one of his dresses to a gala hosted by the luxury retailer Luisa Via Roma in Capri for UNICEF. Many of Murad’s fans were outraged when they say Teigen wearing one of his designs.
Many critics wrote on Murad’s Instagram page, “Where’s the dislike button? Unfollowed. Bye.” Along with, “It’s shameful if you don’t care about respect and the mental health of people. I don’t see a reason to respect your brand.”
Teigen’s downfall began when she told Stodden told her to kill herself in a series of DM’s on Twitter back in 2011. While Teigen did offer a public apology on Twitter, she still has Stodden blocked. If that weren’t enough, she also sent hate messages to Farrah Abraham and suggested Lindsay Lohan should slit her wrists. She also fat shamed Mariah Carey while she was pregnant.
So far Murad himself has not made any comments about the matter.
