The Duggar family has just expanded again as Jessa Seewald Duggar gave birth to her fourth child with husband, Ben Seewald over the July 17/18 weekend.
Details are scarce, we don’t even know the gender of the baby, but the former reality star announced the birth with a photo on Instagram of emotional Mom and newborn in a hospital bed, the caption reading “Baby Seewald #4 has arrived!”
‘Counting On’: Jessa Seewald Duggar Gives Birth- Four Kids and Counting!
Duggars filled the comments section of Jessa’s post with their congratulations, as did fans, ecstatic for Jessa and her rainbow baby after she suffered a miscarriage last year. The miscarriage was a major reason Jessa opted for the hospital birth rather than the typical home birth the Duggars, as devout Independent Baptists usually opt for.
Jessa and Ben only announced the pregnancy in February last year, saying in a statement, “After the heartbreaking loss of a baby last year, we’re overjoyed to share that another little Seewald is on the way.”
Though TLC has parted ways with the Duggars due to oldest son, Josh’s recent legal troubles, Jessa still managed to monetize the birth, offering fans a YouTube journey (part one of two) of the newest Seewald’s birth.
According to those who watched, part one finished with the cliffhanger of the parents entering a hospital elevator “Ready to have this baby!” Jessa wrote as the video closed with a “to be continued.”
The baby’s gender and name are yet to be revealed, though most are speculating it’s a girl.
Ben and Jessa are already parents to two boys Spurgeon, 5, and Henry, 4, and one daughter Ivy, 2 who all suggested they want a brother (though Ivy was coerced by her brothers to say as much). As for a name, Jessa had teased that she and Ben think they have landed on a first name, but it’s the middle name that was holding them up.
I guess we’ll have to wait for part 2 to find out!
