Bachelor Nation is not impressed with personalities from the franchise applying for government aid to keep their ‘Influencer Business’ afloat.

Tayshia Adams, Dale Moss, Colton Underwood and Arie Luyendky Jnr. are amongst those who have applied for governmental aid to the tune of $20K and a chunk of change.

These famous Bachelor franchise faces now work predominately as influencers, yet they applied for and received loans from the Paycheck Protection Program, the government program designed to help small businesses survive the economic devastation of the coronavirus pandemic.

The “small business” Arie and wife, Lauren Burnham Luyendyk “needed” an injection of money for is aptly name “Instagram Husband, LLC.”

Bachelor Alums Get Governmental Aid for Their ‘Influencer Businesses’…and Plenty of Shade From Bachelor Nation

You gotta appreciate the Arie’s honesty- of the business name, not taking a loan which was likely used to buy cute clothes for their newborn twins so they could get even more money by selling baby pictures to magazines.

Of course that is mere speculation as reps for Arie and Lauren have not responded…maybe they couldn’t be tracked down in any of their new houses.

Dale Moss has reportedly applied for the $20K loan for his LLC, although its reported that he had yet to receive the money. The record of Dale’s application categorizes his “business” under “Independent Artists, Writers, and Performers.” That sure is a fancy way of saying “influencer of Dr. Pepper and the Mini”…which he continued to do through the pandemic.

Colton and Tayshia did speak out about their government aid with a rep for Tayshia claiming she hired a employee, therefore using the loan for exactly the reason it was intended.

The rep said, “As a business owner, television and podcast host, and brand ambassador, Tayshia obtained a PPP loan that enabled her to hire an employee, to whom she offers market-based pay and benefits. Since exhausting the PPP loan funds, but in light of the growing economy, Tayshia has committed to retaining her employee for the foreseeable future.”

Colton was a little less…uh, eloquent with his statement. His PPP loan was for just over $11,000 and went to his charity-the Colton Underwood Legacy Foundation, which helps kids living with cystic fibrosis

Said Colton, “Let me save you the clickbait headline. My nonprofit filed for a PPP because we cancelled our charity events for this year. We help people living with CF. I don’t make a dime from my nonprofit…please stop lumping me in with the Bachelor. I don’t f*** with them anymore, they don’t f*** with me. Point blank. Thanks.”

1-He didn’t use stars and 2- how is a former Bachelor NOT supposed to be ‘lumped in’ with the namesake show? Oh how quickly they bite the hand that feeds…

Another former Bachelorette contestant, Jason Tarick  also didn’t want to be “lumped” in with those using up government funds. On his IG, the fiancé to Kaitlyn Bristowe announced that he did not apply for a PPP loan.

“I could’ve, because events and speaking pulled back. But as events and speaking pulled back, social media spend was increased, so I just decided not to do it,” he explained. “There was more opportunity and it didn’t feel right. And so for reasons like these DMs, I’m glad I didn’t.”

And that’s why Jason has been a fan favorite from the beginning.

Nick Viall also tweeted out a little shade, posting, “What’s legal isn’t always right. What’s illegal isn’t always wrong. Don’t know everyone’s situation, but my gut tells any alum applying for a PPP is both savvy and shi**y. Interesting debate.”

No, Nick didn’t use stars either, but the ‘debate’ part of his statement was either a cop out when forming an opinion that would anger at least half of Twitter…or it was a nice little instigation.

We all like an instigator so…let us know YOUR thoughts and get ‘debating’ in the comments section below.
