ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) is reeling from Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) rejection. He’s decided there is no way forward for them, and a divorce is in their future.
We’ve seen Curtis talk a lot about the pattern their relationship’s followed over the time they’ve been together and how it’s not okay. But a return character gave us some new insight into Jordan. Let’s take a look at what happened and our take on it.

So, there were several problems in their relationship. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal they’d been through a severe health scare and resulting debt, for one. But a big one has been the stress of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and how Jordan has chosen to deal with it.
For Curtis, it was bad enough when he learned TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) was abducted. Not to mention her other secrets from her past. But the kicker came with a return.
We’re talking about Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews). Curtis had already been dealing with a bit of guilt over Marcus’ supposed death. But it only got worse as time went on and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) kept accusing him of letting her father die.
Learning Marcus had been alive all the time and Jordan hadn’t told him was the final straw. We don’t blame him. That’s a lot to carry around, even if Jordan had what seemed to be good reasons.
The thing is, she’d already somewhat involved him in the situation. So, she should’ve gone all in. Especially when she saw how he was struggling. But it turned out lies aren’t new for Jordan.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The return
We used to see bits and pieces of GH as kids, thanks to family. Other than that, our knowledge of the show and history is limited to when we first started watching regularly. That would’ve been around the time Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) was pulling his most recent reign of terror.
We’d heard about TJ having a biological father who wasn’t around, but we didn’t really see Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) until he just showed up as Jason Morgan’s roommate in Pentonville.
There might have been an episode during the shutdown, but this is where our journey with Shawn really begins. And we love not reading too much and letting the writers fill us in now and then. And, boy, did they ever fill us is.
It seems Shawn is a decent, yet somewhat bitter man. He’s currently locked up for a crime he didn’t commit, and not happy with Jordan right now. It seems TJ filled him in on the little he knows of the kidnapping and what caused it.
So, Shawn is upset that Jordan kept this information from him. Then, the pair had it out a bit over her not telling him TJ was his. This struck us as awful, really.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What we think
Our take? General Hospital spoilers reveal this would be at least the second failed relationship. And yet another example of how Jordan held back and refused to be upfront with the person she should be most transparent with.
We can’t help but wonder if there something in Jordan that doesn’t believe she should be happy, so she subconsciously does things that push people like Curtis away.
We also think she’s been so used to being in charge and having to keep secrets in her work, that she’s incapable of seeing when it’s time to open up. And she definitely should have opened up about Cyrus.
We’re not saying she had to go into ever gory detail, but it seems reasonable and responsible to have told her family there’s a work issue. Something that could be dangerous for people around her.
Yes, it would freak TJ out a bit, but we think it would’ve been better if TJ had known he needed to watch his back a bit more. Curtis, too. Will she be able to learn from this situation and find happiness? We’ll see. It’s not looking good, though.
