ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) made quite an impression on Wednesday. While we loved the actress and think there was a nice moment after the big event, we also see where the character lucked out. Let’s take a look at why Carly might not want to get too confident in her leadership role.

First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Carly made a huge splash when she came to represent the Corinthos organization. We were as concerned as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was about this development. Carly has made some iffy choices at times. And this is a very delicate situation.
Surprisingly, she handled herself well. First, she made it very clear that the organization was stable and ready to keep things going as they have been. She also assured respect of territories while reminding everyone attending that instability and problems came to Port Charles with Cyrus Renault.
She played him like a fiddle the whole time and not only proved Renault’s claims she’s unstable and emotional wrong, but she made him look like the unstable one.
The final straw for him was when he got a call during the meeting. Apparently, a shipment of his had been destroyed, and he let his anger and disappointment hang out there for everyone to see.
He tried accusing Carly, but she neither confirmed nor denied. But she did point out that, if she did have a hand in that, events that have happened in Port Charles would classify this as a just retaliation—not an act of war.
Obviously, everyone ended up siding with Carly. They all welcomed her to the table and she played the role of gracious new associate well. But was this really just luck? We’ll talk about that in a minute.

It was interesting to see Carly in such a role, even if we’re not really her biggest fan. We have to admit she did well, and we think this was a situation where her back was against the wall and had no choice.
As tough and together as she seemed throughout the meeting, and as calm and gracious with the other bosses giving their approval, it was a different story when she was alone.
Carly asked for a moment, and as soon as she was the only one in the room, her demeanor changed. You could see her deflating, as though she’d been worried the whole time and is relieved it all worked out. The moment was well-acted by Wright and offered another side to Carly.

So, should Carly be thinking herself the new boss? We think she might want to slow down a bit. General Hospital spoilers reveal Renault has a bit of a temper at times. We’ve seen it before, but he really let it hang out on Wednesday. However, we think if Laura Webber (Genie Francis) hadn’t gone off-script at that dinner distraction, this thing would have ended differently.
It’s clear this guy is desperate to get Laura to a sister to him. When she finally couldn’t hold her temper anymore and verbally kicked his you-know-what at the Cassadine home, we think this wounded Cyrus deeply. So much so, he was extra vulnerable.
So, when Carly started accusing him in front of everyone and then essentially admitted to destroying his shipment, this pushed him over an edge. But, again, it was an advantage she got because someone else didn’t do what they were supposed to.
