It looks like it wasn’t the grand royal family reunion that everyone was hoping for. There’s a new report that says, despite all of the photos that did show a civil family get together, Prince Harry did face “a great deal of frostiness” from his family members at Prince Philip’s funeral over the weekend. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, Prince Harry is expected to take the first flight out of the UK and head back to California to be with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their son Archie by Monday.
Prince Harry Faced ‘A Great Deal Of Frostiness’ At Prince Philip’s Funeral
Before the funeral, Harry spent most of his first visit to the UK since Megxit in mandatory quarantine in Frogmore Cottage. The Duke of Sussex was planning a quick return all along to his Montecito mansion to not leave his pregnant wife and their son.
Apparently, the Duke of Sussex faced what some people are calling a “a great deal of frostiness” from his family at the funeral, with some senior royals not even acknowledging his presence.
And while Prince William might have been frosty to his brother behind the scenes, at least the two brothers looked like they were getting along in front of the cameras.
The day of Prince Philip’s funeral service began when Harry and William marched in the royal procession solemnly, but not side-by-side, with their arms rigidly at their sides. The two were also separated during the 50-minute church service.
While it would be nice for Prince William and Prince Harry to continue to work out their differences, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon.
That’s because Harry is scheduled to fly back to California to be with his wife Meghan Markle and their son Archie in a few short days. Now, whether or not he returns to the UK in the future remains to be seen.
