‘Days of our Lives (DOOL)’ spoilers have learned that Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton) has announced that she will be exiting stage left when she leaves Salem and her character of Sarah Horton behind after three years on the soap.
Only last week Sarah took to social media to share her mental health diagnosis, revealing that she is a ‘Borderpolar’, which means that she has Bipolar II, a mood disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder, a personality disorder.

Linsey did not cite her reason for leaving the show behind when she announced her exit on Twitter on Tuesday, so it is hard to say of her mental health struggles have anything to do with her decision.
“It’s truly been a pleasure,” Linsey tweeted. “A massive thank you to @nbcdays for the opportunity to play Sarah & all 86 of her hairstyles. Thank you to casting, production and the crew! Also thank you to the amazing cast I got to work with! I have made some lifelong friends that I cherish.”
Linsey’s final airdate will be March 29, 2022 which means there is plenty more trouble she can get up to in Salem yet. And speaking of trouble…this week alone we will see Linsey pull double duty as a kidnapped, tied-up Sarah and as Kristen DiMera wearing a Sarah mask…and completely destroying her almost marriage to Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).
Previous to her tenure on DOOL, Linsey played Caroline Spencer on CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful for six years. It’s doubtful that her exit from Days will lead to Linsey returning to B&B as her character, Caroline died off-screen from a blood clot, but stranger things have happened in the soap world!
Perhaps fans will get to see Linsey on another soap in the near future. Keep watching this space as we will reveal any further casting news as soon as we receive it. Until then, thanks for bringing your ‘breath of fresh air, Sarah’ into our homes every day, Linsey! We will miss you!
