‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that Linsey Godfrey has faced a major fear by letting fans know that has both a mood and a personality disorder. But she’s not letting either keep her down.
In a Tik Tok video she also posted to her Instagram, Linsey confessed, “I’m genuinely terrified to speak publicly about this but I think it’s more important than my fears to talk about it.” She then went on to explain, “I’m what’s called a Borderpolar, which means that I have Bipolar II and Borderline Personality Disorder.”

After acknowledging her fears to speak about mental health, and specifically these disorders due to the stigma surrounding them, the video continues with Godfrey explaining the disorders and the symptoms; depression, anxiety, and OCD which she boils down to the simplest form of “having a tough time regulating my emotions.”
The bipolar II part of her diagnosis means she can suffer from hypermania or severe depression for days or weeks on end. The Borderline Personality Disorder part means she can switch between moods within hours.
Linsey then explains that she controls her disorders with the help of her psychiatrist, medication and weekly therapy sessions.
Coming out and exposing her mental health issues is incredibly brave but Lindsey knows that she has fans out there who might be suffering from the same or similar disorders. She tells these fans “You are not alone and it’s a lot more common than we know.”
Finally, Linsey makes the call to action; to destigmatize mental health issues.
Linsey is a fan favorite in her role of Dr. Sarah Horton on Days of Our Lives. Prior to joining the Salem crew, she was in Los Angeles on Bold and the Beautiful from 2012 to 2019 as Caroline Spencer Forrester. In fact Linsey has had a successful acting career since 2005 , further proof to others suffering from the same disorders that, not only can you live with mental illness, you can thrive.
