‘Young And The Restless (Y&R)’ spoilers show that with everything going on in Genoa City, there’s a lot that could be better. In fact, a lot of viewers and fans are sick of the typical he said, she said of the town and the biggest thing to happen lately is Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) cheating on Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

We’ve seen this same storyline a million times. Two people are together, one cheats, they break up, they get back together, rinse, repeat. Where’s the excitement, the mystery, the murder? I’m relatively new to the  soap opera world, but from what I hear, there use to be much more excitement in Genoa City. What will it take to get back to this?

‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: We Need Murder, We Need Mystery, We Need Drama!

‘The Young and the Restless’ truly has been pretty dull, and what the show needs is some excitement. A murder, a big-scale crime, a serious crisis, something! Now, what could that be? I don’t know, but it’s something that definitely needs to happen and soon.

Obviously this last year there’s been a lot of COVID restrictions and things that the cast and crew had to work around, but they could still have gotten creative with some things and created a mystery while maintaining six feet between each other.

Seeing all the characters just sleep with each other over and over is boring and we deserve something else at this point. Could 2021 be the year that we finally get some decent writing and a change of pace? Have Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) investigate a murder only for Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) to be a suspect. Something! That’s just off the top of my head. Make it happen, you’re losing viewers.
