‘Young And The Restless (Y&R)’ spoilers show that 2020 was a hell of a year and things are still rocky going into 2021. Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) took a photo and compared it to one taken a year ago, and you can see the difference, the “unhappiness” and the “heaviness”.

“HOW IT STARTED. HOW IT’S GOING. I took this second pic today cuz I liked the blue background. I told my kids “Hey, just stand here and do nothing”. This is what we got. I was truly taken aback by the heaviness. The seemingly unhappiness. It is profound. Yeah, you know the first picture was taken a year ago and the second one, today. You know, I will never lie to you fine folks. I want to speak to you parents here. I feel you. It has been a fucking brutal year. I’m sorry for cursing but I don’t know how else to emphasize how absolutely extraordinary and how horrible this has been on my children. I am a single parent but I am not only speaking to single parents. It’s parents everywhere….”

‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) Shows The Difference A Year Can Make
At the end, she has an important message for parents and it’s that she feels your exhaustion. She is too, and she believes that we all will absolutely get through this together. I must agree with Stafford, it’s been a long year, but it’s darkest just before the dawn, and we will see the dawn together.
We’ll all exhausted, tired, hurting, but that’s the magic about the human spirit, it takes a lot to break us. So storm into 2021 with a sense of purpose and excitement. Good things are right around the corner.
